If you want to bring more people to your website, you’re going to have to put in some work. The following tips will show you how to get traffic without sacrificing quality of visitors, so use them wisely. If you follow these steps and put a solid marketing plan in place, then visitors will come naturally. When they do, make sure they convert into sales by adding social media options and giving potential customers incentives like discounts or free shipping.
Trick #1 – Use SEO to Increase Traffic
Search engine optimization (SEO) is a marketing strategy that helps ensure your website’s pages are easy to find on search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo. SEO allows you to get found by new customers who might not otherwise know about your business. To get started with SEO, use these tactics: be sure your website is optimized for a search engine by using keywords that people would use to find what you have to offer.
Trick #2 – Give Away Content
Giving away high-quality content is one of my favorite ways to get people to come back to my site. Once they’re there, I can pitch them on buying something from me. This could be an ebook, a product, or in some cases even a coaching session. If they visit your site and you immediately pitch them with information that they can’t afford to miss out on then it probably won’t work!
Trick #3 – Write A List Posting
We all know lists are popular, but that’s only because they work! In fact, a list post with 10 tips on it gets 94% more views than a regular old post. That’s massive exposure for you and your brand. The next time you have any kind of list in mind – keep in mind that you’re onto something.
Trick #4 – Have More Video Content
Video marketing is an effective way to build trust, authority and boost engagement. It’s also an incredibly cost-effective way to bring in new business. By 2019, video will account for 69% of all consumer internet traffic. You can make your own videos using services like Wistia or you can also use services like Animoto to create a quick how-to video from any images that you have on hand.
Trick #5 – Add Clickable/Tappable CTA Buttons To All Posts
Web visitors are far more likely to follow through with an action if they’re prompted with a CTA (call-to-action) button that they can interact with. CTAs include phrases like Click Here or Shop Now and prompt users to take action by clicking a link, purchasing a product, reading a post, watching a video, etc. Adding CTA buttons is super easy – no coding experience required!
Trick #6 – Make Sure There Are No Broken Links On Your Website
A broken link is a page on your website that cannot be found. If your site visitors attempt to click on a link that doesn’t work, they will instantly become turned off from viewing your other content. They’ll think you don’t know what you are doing and will feel like you aren’t an expert in your field. This may cause them to never visit your site again and return to your competition instead.
Trick #7 – Be Consistent With Relevant Facebook Advertisements
If you’re just starting out with Facebook ads, you might think that you should promote your product everywhere. In fact, it’s better to target a specific group of people and be consistent with your advertisements. This will help you stay on track and get your money’s worth for every advertisement that you buy. Use demographic targeting to find an appropriate group of people and then continue placing advertisements about your product within their newsfeeds until they are interested in buying from you.
Trick #8 – Showcase Your Best Work on the Homepage
If you don’t have a portfolio section on your website (or even if you do), it’s always good to display some of your best work on your homepage. This will highlight your strengths, and people will have a better idea of what to expect from you. Make sure that whatever is on your homepage showcases different types of projects, as well as different types of content, so that people can see how diverse you are. Also, be sure to showcase some personal or fun stuff too!
Trick #9 – Create Quality Banners or Thumbnail Images For Every Page
This is one that a lot of business owners overlook when building their website. If you want to get more hits and make more sales, then you need to optimize your pages for search engines. There are two main reasons why you should create banner or thumbnail images for every page on your site: firstly, they are eye-catching, meaning people will stop and look at them; secondly, they help with SEO because search engines recognize visuals as important content.
Tip #10 – Create A Call-To-Action Incentive On The Footer Of Every Page
Just as you should have a good call-to-action on your homepage, make sure to add a footer call-to-action (or at least a prominent one) that serves as a reminder for potential customers. The best way to make a compelling call-to-action on your footer is to offer an incentive for people to contact you. This could be anything from offering access to exclusive content, downloads or discounts.
